Division 1, 2, and 3 Champions Predictions

As the lax seasons are in full tilt, it has been action packed full of hits, saves, goals, and passes. The Division I,II,and III championships this year are held in Baltimore, Md. The division I will play Saturday May, 28th following them on Sunday will be division II and III.

My predictions for the division I final four will be the following:
1. Notre Dame- Their offense is all returning from last seasons final game lose to Duke. While their defense has been stepping up big.
2. Syracuse- Their goalie is the best in the nation along with the an offense that will scare any of its opponents.
3. North Carolina- Going into the season with all-star Billy Bitter, and the largest freshman recruit class... UNC will be a solid final four contender.
4. Duke- The defending National Champions, Graduated a large amount but coach John Danowski will have his team ready for battle.
I feel that the final two will be Notre Dame and Syracuse with Syracuse winning 8-6.

For Division II it is completely up in the air but I feel it will be between:
1. Adelphi- Adelphi panthers are on a 10 game win streak with a fire hot goalie and an explosive scoring offense.
2. C.W Post- Has been a contender in the final four for the last couple seasons. With the goal scoring machine Plompen has had three back to back hat-tricks. Also with red hot goaltender it will be interesting.
3. Limestone- With attack men Shayne Jackson, the only division two Tewaaraton award finalist. Their goalie has had a season of a life time.
4. Le Moyne- Currently the second team in the country, Their team is in first place over Adelphi and will give them a run for their money.
The final two will be Adelphi and Le Moyne, with Adelphi winning 10-8.

Finally the divison III it will be determined by the following teams:
1. Stevenson- The top power house in Division III, they have explosive players that have helped them become the number one team in the country.
2. Salisbury- After taking a tough couple losses this season, Salisbury is consistently a contender and has help from attack men Matt Cannone with a total of 74 points on the season already.
3. Roanoke- With coach Tim Pilot, The Maroons top player Jeff Keating is leading their team to victory.
4. RIT- Marking up as number four in the country, Goalie Bob Tonnessen, and top offense men Kelso Davis the Tigers are looking to shock the country.
With the final two being powerhouse Stevenson vs. RIT, with Stevenson shutting RIT down 7-3.

  1. I see Notre Dame going undefeated through out the regular season and NCAA tournament based on the fact that last year the same team made it to the championship game and lost to the best team in the country, Duke, by one point in overtime. With this in the back of the Notre Dame seniors heads, I feel that and the fact that the same team from last year is out on the field should be enough sheer determination and drive to return to the NCAA championship and reign as the 2011 NCAA champions.

  2. My bets UNC is going to take it this year. They've been solid all season long and with their star attackman Billy Bitter leading the team in his senior season, I feel they can make a late run in the tournament and contend for a national championship. Their midfield that was dormant at the start of the season has really started to step up as of late, and they should only continue to contribute as the regular season comes to a close and they begin their run for a 5th NCAA title.

  3. But Greg you forget the reason why Notre Dame made it to that far...Scott Rodgers got them that far and their goalie now a days I just don't have much faith in.
